On today’s evening news NHK reported MALTech’s visit to Iizuka city’s mayor. This visit is in relation to the award given by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Monbukagakusho) to MALTech, as represented by its representative director, in December 2007.

Iizuka city mayor, Mr. Morichika Saito, received MALTech’s official visit today. In this visit MALTech reported the “Researcher of the Year 2007″ award by National Institute of Science and Technology Policy of Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Monbukagakusho). The Minister himself through an official letter personally congratulated Iizuka city for having MALTech receiving this award.

MALTech visited Prof. Kazuhiro Tanaka, the Dean of Faculty of Computer Science and Systems Engineering, Kyushu Institute of Technology, reporting “Researcher of the Year 2008″ award given by Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Monbukagakusho) through its “National Institute of Science and Technology Policy” to Lim Wee Yee, the representative director of MALTech. Both Lim Wee Yee and Arnold P. Siboro, MALTech’s co-founders and directors, received Masters of Engineering degrees from the same faculty. “Researcher of the Year 2007″ award ceremony was held by National Institute of Science and Technology Policy of Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Monbukagakusho) at their premises in Kasumigaseki, Tokyo, Japan, today. This ceremony was attended by the Minister Kisaburo Tokai, Vice Minister Kenshiro Matsunami and other Monbukagakusho officials.

In its press release today, Japan’s Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (Monbukagakusho) through its “National Institute of Science and Technology Policy” awarded MALTech (represented by its CEO) “Researcher of the Year 2007” due to its contribution through innovation as entrepreneurs.
