Broadphone
“Broadphone” is the code name of our interactive video telephony server platform. Broadphone turns the “telephone” (in this case a video telephony client, which can be in many physical forms) to an information device where users (or callers) can interact with. The interaction is as natural as a regular phone call that almost anyone in developed society is already very familiar with. The similarity with traditional phone ends there.
In Broadphone system, users call and Broadphone picks up the calls. Callers then convey their intention by pressing phone buttons and/or say words/sentences through the phone. Broadphone will quickly adapt audio and/or video sent to the user based on every single response the user make (See Fig.2). This produces a base for a myriad of services, just as Web server produces a base for all Web-based services. The difference is, there is no mouse click, cursor moving and words to type. It’s all as natural as seeing a scene and giving response.
